Association for the Promotion of Research Regarding Wood-based Panels and Wood Adhesives
“Karlsruhe Association”
The name “Karlsruhe Association” is derived from the “Research Institute for Wood-based Panels and Wood Adhesives”, formerly established in Karlsruhe. This industry-owned research institute, which was founded by the VHI-predecessor, the Association of the German Plywood and Particleboard Industries, ceased its own research activities in 1977 and transferred its equipment to the Wilhelm-Klauditz-Institute in Brunswick (WKI). Since that time, it exists in the form of a promotional association.
The “Karlsuhe Association” promotes research and development activities, publications, seminars etc., concerned with manufacturing, processing and utilisation of wood-based panels and wood adhesives.
The VHI member companies automatically are also corporate members of the Association for the Promotion of Research Regarding Wood-based Panels and Wood Adhesives. Furthermore, also enterprises from the branches of the chemical or machinery and equipment industries as well as individuals may become individual or personal members of the association.
